It’s time for a spiritual retreat, and Namgyal Monastery is THE place of official residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama which serves as a spiritual and cultural center for Tibetan Buddhism. This beautiful monastery was founded in the 16th century so that Namgyal monks could assist the Dalai Lama in public & religious affairs. Before clicking pictures inside the monastery, check if photography is allowed in that particular spot. Parking is an issue at the monastery, so it is better to reach the monastery on foot. The monastery is open between 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.

It’s a picturesque hill station near Dalhousie popular due to its stunning meadows, dense forests, and serene landscape.
